What happens during my first appointment? (Initial Holistic Health Assessment)

The first session is a thorough, one-on-one guided conversation where we discuss your health history, current concerns, as well as a brief physical assessment. Together, we develop a personalized health and wellness plan with practical steps and resources. Beyond the first appointment, you will have the option to book follow-up wellness consultations to keep you accountable, adjust the plan as needed, and provide ongoing support as things arise in your health journey.

What’s included – and what is not – in Holistic Nursing Services?

As a Registered Nurse in private practice, I can:

  • assess your health needs and provide education about your condition(s)
  • help you navigate the Yukon health care system
  • coach and support you in setting and reaching your wellness goals
  • connect you with appropriate services and resources
  • advocate for you and help you prepare for medical appointments

I cannot diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, or provide
medical treatment — those remain the responsibility of your Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or
other medical providers.

Is my information kept confidential?

Absolutely. Your information is private and confidential. As a private practitioner, I do not have automatic access to your medical records from hospitals, clinics, or other providers — and I will only share information with your care team if you give written consent. Everything we discuss stays between us unless you choose otherwise.

Is my information kept confidential?

This service complements, but does not replace, the care you receive from your primary care providers. I help bridge gaps, clarify information, and support you in making decisions that feel right for you. With your consent, I can also help communicate with your care team to ensure everyone is working toward the same goals.
